Oriented home users Operating System, Microsoft Windows Me (Millennium Edition), is the last derived operating systems from Windows 95.
From Windows 2000 have been inherited some important features, one most important is the TCP/IP stack that makes network connections more stable and is also the first Microsoft operating system to discontinue support for DOS native mode.
Unfortunately, one of the goals of Microsoft Windows Me was to maintain at all costs the backward compatibility to ensure the proper implementation of all the old programs and games, but this ended up penalizing the operating system that has begun to suffer from stability problems without achieving the desired degree of diffusion.
