Lindows OS (Linspire)

Linux distribution based on Debian GNU/Linux, installation is simple, during this phase requires only two values: the machine name and root password.
This distribution is currently available only in English, but being derived from Debian GNU/Linux you can then install the packages using the ".deb" format.

One of the greatest strengths of this distribution is the service "Lindows Click 'N Run", which corresponds to a large library of specific Lindows OS precompilated applications.

The name Lindows OS had been decided by the creator, Michael Robertson, who was considered for the lawyers in Redmond, a threat to the trademark of Microsoft operating systems.

After various events and conditions, Microsoft paid 20 million dollars to "convince" Michael Robertson to switch brands.
